"The process by which creatures detect and evaluate TRUTH
as a function of what they see, hear, touch, taste, smell,
or otherwise sense "

Finding and making TRUTH
is the purpose of LIFE.

This is why we creatures have
so many wonderful ways to go about
detecting the TRUTH we need to find
in order to make the TRUTH we want.

Some of these "truth detectors" are as simple
as the molecular "locks" and "keys"
which permit a Virus
to find the pieces of TRUTH it needs
in order to make copies of itself.

Other kinds of truth detectors are very complicated,
and include things like
taste, smell, touch, sound, and sight,
as well as many other senses
we are still learning about.
